For a healthy tummy, drink water, half an hour to one hour after meal. The reason is, in layman term, if you drink right after meal, you will dilute the acid that the tummy produces to process your food. If you drink, it will make your tummy work harder to produce more acid. If this occurs very frequent, the body will automatically produce extra acid every time you eat even when you don’t drink water. Then you will get gastric attack. Or your food is not properly digested and your body won’t get to absorb much nutrition from the food you ate. When your food is not properly broken down, chances are, your colon will be affected too. I wonder whether this is the cause of constipation too.

When my uncle who is the head of a hospital and later head of a medical college in China visited us, he was shcoked that Singaporeans drink lots of water & soup during meals.
He said that we should drink some water to clear out digestion systems 1/2 - 1 hr before meals but not during and after meals. Water dilute the acid juices and cause the digestive system to over work which is what so many people here got all kind of organs problems, diabetic included.
He also suggested the taking of fruits before meals and not after (for the similar reason).
He said there are toomany skinny but very unhealthy people walking on the streets due to bad eating patterns. I still drink a glass of water during meals, some habit are hard to break.

I do the fruits at least 2 hours after the meals. As for water, trying haha.. Sometimes it’s just that we’re very thirsty from the meals..

Cannot tahan without some water after meal.
OK lar, since u can make ur tummy flatter without water after meal, I will try, the most taking a mouthful of water only
