Here’s another eerie story for the Malaccan’s.
If you drive on the new Merlimau highway during the night, you might/might not come across a sate stall beside the highway. The stall is well lighted and the tables are covered with yellow tablecloth.
Recently my uncle’s friends were driving on the highway around midnight; they spotted the sate stall and decided to have their supper there. They are not the only one there, there are other customers too. While they were eating, a friend who was not with them called and knowing that they are enjoying their sate supper, he requested them to pack some for him. The sate was wrapped with betel nut palm leaf. This kind packing is very common in the olden day but not now.
Once they are done eating, paid for it, they drove home and gave the sate to their friend. Everyone was shocked to see what’s inside the betel nut palm leaf. Instead of sate, it was filled with WORMS! They suspected something spooky about this. Only the Bunian (Spirits/Elves) will do such thing.
So the next day, they drove back to the same spot and found no sign of stall at all. Not even the sate stick that they dropped on the ground. Then all of them started to puke with the thought of eating sate worm the night before. I wonder what is their Teh Tarik made of.
I told me colleague who stayed in Merlimau and uses that highway to come to work everyday about it. He confirms it saying that a few people kena already! That whole stretch of road, memang no food stall. My hair is standing up now!!!

is true ah?? so scary ler.. eating worms… yiackkkk
WAH! sure or not..u blog until like that, ask me how dare to go Melacca ahh???

Hi, I m from Merlimau…the new highway…not to my knowledge there is satay stall. What we have is after the traffic light turn to right toward Merlimau Town there are lots of stall….
And for your knowledge, lots of people lost their way during mid night travell….Hooo, no joking. Thats why normally after 9pm, I dont dare to use this new route…not even want to go towards Jasin route…..
Btw, Melaka still have lots of good and safe places…just dont simply stop at any stalls that is build around the bushes during night time….
I read oledi my bulu roma all also standing….
next time better not stop along highway anywhere ler…
Betul Ka?
wooo!? i heard something like this before at the same place but never bothered until you blog about it again.
Hehe, yes heard plenty of such tales but personally never encounter any thus far. Since your uncles had that experience I suppose I have to accept it. Personally I am not surprised at such stories because I belieive in the presence of evil spirits! Good read!
OMG! Satay, one of my fav food. This story is new to me. But teaches me to not simply stop by the highway side for food! Yucky……
