Sketches of Life

I was searching my cupboards and drawers in my room for my goggles last night. Instead of goggles, I found a special jewelry in a shoe box. A pink heart shape crystal pendant with gold plated chain still in its jewelry box. Behind the box, it is written Albert 1992. Wow! This is the longest gift that I have ever kept, 15 years.

Albert is a special man in my life. (Don’t get jealous hubby ) He is the one who thought me how to dance the proper way, stage dance. My first dance was to the song, Copacabana by Barry Manilow. I was only 15 years old then and he became my godbrother until we lost contact when I left for university.

But every time I hear the song, I will be reminded of him and the dance but I totally forgotten the steps to the dance!

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there

And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar

Recently I found out from my colleague that she knew him too. He is now married with a son. I am too shy to contact him now. I wonder whether he still remembers me.
