My Specky Story

Let me share about my specky story. When I found out that I needed glasses, that was when I was in Secondary One, I didn’t straight away visit the optometrist and get a pair of glasses nor I got the $ 8 Zenni Optical Rx Eyeglasses. Btw, they have good prescription glasses and very cheap too. The secret to their low prices is, they sell online and they manufactured the frames themselves and sell direct to customer, minusing middlemen who always earn a lot.

Having a grandfather then who believe is the government hospital, brought me there for eye check up. He said, maybe there could be other problem to my eyes beside short sightedness. After the doctor in the hospital confirmed that I needed glasses, then only he brought me to the optical shop to get his grandchild a pair of glasses.

I think ah, maybe if he were to bring me to visit the optometrist, it will incur much more spending because optometrist tends to sell their glasses at a higher price. The visit to the government hospital incurred no fee except the long waiting period. Hmmm…maybe having experienced living a hard and poor life, my grandfather knew ways to save money. :)
