Tag along hubby attending an informal meeting with Betty Chew; the new Chief Minister of Penang’s wife.
As I am not interested in politics and this is the first political meeting that I have ever attended and don’t think I would return to such gathering unless they plan a trip to the Parliament, I might wanna tag along. The reason to my boredom? No comment. 
Anyway, Betty Chew gave a good rationalization on the reason the Sultan chose the PAS candidate as Menteri Besar. Firstly the Constitution stated that the MB has to be a Muslim. The Sultan has the power to over right it but he did not because the BN has such a great blow in this election. Giving them another blow by appointing a Chinese as the MB is not a wise decision.
Secondly, why PAS not PKR since PKR won more seats than PAS? Well, PAS candidate is more qualified than the PKR candidate. So that should explain it all. Our Sultans are wise leader, they are not boneka as many of us thought they are.

PAS candidate is more qualified as MB candidate in terms of education and experiences.

Iz perak has a rule claims that only Malay can be Perak MB? I wonder, iz there Malay in PKR too? why choose PAS? They really experienced? should have some story behind…

it is stated in the constitution that states with sultan must have muslim as MB.
pkr candidate is a malay but i guess his education level and qualification is lower compared to the pas candidate. that’s what i was told.
