The phone rang this morning, MIL picked up. Overhead her conversation.

Her eldest sister that recently got her arm amputated has passed away last night due to old age.

I heard that she is 91yo already!

I guess the funeral will be this Saturday. They will normally “keep” the old for a minimum of 5 days especially when they die of old age.

She is a very nice lady. One thing I remember about her is during CNY she will give angpow to everyone; not only the children but the adults too. No more angpow from her next year onwards.

Hubby’s has UOB UniRinggit Points that was going to expire by end of September. So I redeemed for him to get the RM50 Kamdar Voucher since I need to buy curtain cloth for our apartment.

I checked the amount of UniRinggit points online coz I no longer keep their redemption catalog. So there I saw RM50 Kamdar Voucher. Since it was not stated which Kamdar branch the voucher is for, I figured that it must be a general voucher like KFC and McDonald vouchers.

When I received the voucher on the Oct 1, 2008, I was very disappointed to know that the voucher is only valid for one Kamdar branch which is in Jln Tunku Abdul Rahman, KL. Where the heck is that? I am in Malacca!!! Do you think I would be crazy enuf to drive all the way there to spend my only RM50 voucher??? Kamdar in Malacca is less than one minute walking from hubby’s shop! Grrrrrr!!!

I wanted to call UOB121 to complaint but after reading the T&C in which gifts and vouchers are not exchangeable. I decided not to waste my money and saliva.

Thank God I have blogger friends in KL, so I exchanged it with Msau for 2 pairs of Training Chopstick which cost RM19 a pair. The moment she got my vouchers, she buzz me telling me that the date on the vouchers have been altered; using liquid paper and a new date was chopped on top of it. Well, when I got the vouchers, I couldn’t be bothered to inspect the vouchers after knowing that I can’t use it here.

So, I got her to scan the voucher and emailed plus faxed to their customer service. This is because Msau doesn’t want to drive all the way to Kamdar; it will be her first time there too and being disappointed by invalid vouchers.

Just now, I received called from Skynet (courier service co.) wanting to collect the vouchers from me. I told the lady from Skynet that the vouchers are no longer with me and I gave her Msau’s office address. I just hope that they will pick up from her.

UOB didn’t even bother to email or call me to inform that they will be collecting back the vouchers! So unprofessional!!!

So, if you want to redeem any vouchers from UOB, I suggest that you call them to verify whether they are valid to be used in your state.

We watched Wall.e, Barbie and The Diamond Castle and Babylon A.D.

Was informed that Neslac1+ will increase another RM14 next month!

Went to church after a long one month break.

Went to Jaya Jusco for lunch and let the children have some fun at the Jusco playground.

Had a peaceful dinner at a hawker stall; just hubby and I enjoying Bak Kut Teh.

MIL, maid and my children attend a baby full moon celebration on the same day.

Leah was asking me last night when do I feel nausea?

Sometimes I feel nausea the moment I open my eyes from sleep. The only way to get it of it to to force myself to sleep again!

I will always feel nausea when I am about to get hungry. The nausea will come first before the tummy rumbles! And I get hungry every 2-3 hours!

I will also feel nausea when the food I eat does not agree with my tummy or is it the baby is too picky???

I will gag at the smell of fried onions and when I am bathing. Maybe due to the smell of the shower foam or shampoo. Couldn’t be bothered to experiment which one that irritates me. Just bath fast fast then go out.

I will vomit if something wrong with the food like, it give my tummy too much gas, unclean food and spoiled food!

Last night I vomit the bar of Cloud 9 wafer that I just munch while chatting with Leah. The wafer is not fresh anymore; it is a lil bit soft (masuk angin) and I think it has expired! I was hungry and saw the chocolate there; I just grab it and munch away. All I know it has been in the cupboard for quite a while, dunno who’s!

Well, I have to be extra careful what I put in my mouth now.

Apart from feeling nausea, I have constant headache now. It gets worst when the weather is extremely hot!

Hubby has one customer that always come across things and money that people accidentally dropped. That is what he told hubby. I wonder whether he really found them or steal them. The first I heard, he found at envelope containing RM3k cash near the bank! He then quickly deposited the cash (RM2.5k) into his account and took RM500 to treat his family dinner! Since then he found a few unlocked cell phones, pendrive and laptop. That really makes me wonder whether he is telling hubby the truth.

Well, well…I ate 2 packets of Nasi Lemak today and it gave me gas too!

I guess I have to abstain from Nasi Lemak for the next 7 months!

Can I do it? I doubt coz Nasi Lemak is one of my favorite food and I do crave for it from time to time.

Looks like…”Eat first, Suffer Later.”

Year end equals to more money needed. Birthdays; mine, Clarissa’s and hubby’s. There’s wedding in my family; need to prepare BIG angpow. Christmas; plan to travel to Ipoh to celebrate it if hubby got staff to work for him then. Insurance; medical insurance, life insurance and car insurance. New schooling year; new set of books!

Oh Oh! Chinese New Year is in January. Need to prepare money for angpows and CNY preparations!

Money!!!! Where art thou?

People say 2nd trimester is the best part of pregnancy. Well, I can’t remember what I went through during my last 3 pregnancies unless I dig my old blog post. All I can remember is, I don’t have to endure morning sickness at all with the previous 3.

I am now in my 2nd Trimester and the morning sickness still don’t want to leave me!

My sense of smell is extra sensitive, my sense of taste is extra sensitive and my emotion is extra sensitive too!

Due to it, I have not been gaining any weight yet!

My mom said, wait till after the 4th month. It should go away. I hope so.

Are you feeling it yet?

As for me, since I have been living a simple lifestyle, I don’t feel the pinch except I got less offer from US. That also means I have less income now even with the high exchange rate.

I don’t rush to the shopping complexes when I hear there is sale going on. Hmmm…come to think of it, I always avoid sale; hate the crowds!

Looks like no holiday for us this year.

I just hope and pray that hubby business won’t be affected.

But I have a splitting headache now!

I hate the hot weather but hubby is loving it coz it helps to stop his coughing.

I belong to the Artic, he to the Sahara desert.

Opposite attracts???
