Sad to know that the SunMelon project did not turn out as expected. I like the sight of the farm; filled with yellow and juicy Sunmelons. The smell is very nice too but did you notice that the leaves are dying? Due to it, those smaller Sunmelons growth are stunted.
There are a few possibilities to why the plants are dying and some dead already. The weather, insects, insufficient water, too much fertilizers etc. Since this is their first experience planting Sunmelon, they took it quite well. They will salvage whatever they can and learn from their mistakes. They are going to plant another round of it and won’t give up until they succeed. Hmmm…this bunch of retirees got lots of money to splurge eh. If my dad, he already switch to planting sweet potato or corn. 
This is one of the bigger Sunmelon. The inside is orangy and crunchy.

Hi Miche, I havent seen this sunmelon before, orangy in colour inside? is it something like honey melon but it is orangy in colour.. yeah, perhaps that is the one..
