This is my latest creation; a simple wristlet using my leftover fabric from my handmade bags. I did this after I got tired writing so much about weight loss product and reading about them at dietsthatwork.net. Sewing always help me to de-stress.
I am so happy that I finally managed to figure out how to sew the zipper and lining for the wristlet. My next attempt is to sew a better one using the imported Japanese fabric. Sure nice one. *ahem*.
To date, I have sold 14 handmade bags.
I started a month ago just for the fun of it and I was surprised that many like the design. Well, 14 may sounds a lot to you but it is hard work and the profit does not compliment the time I put in to sew each bag; not enough to buy a bottle of fat burner. Furthermore, I sew using my MIL’s antique hand sewing machine and due to it, my shoulder pain returned! Thank God I do not have any more orders now. I can rest my shoulder and sew something new.

All of us wants as much money as we can get. We work hard, we invest in gold bullion, job hop to get better pay, we look for extra side income etc. But then don’t go chasing after money until your health is affected and your family too. They will be happy when you can afford to bring them go holiday a few times a year but they will appreciate it more if you can spend more time for them every single day; especially those with young children.
As for me, I need a lot of money. As I have mentioned, I need 1 million for my children’s education. Logically, if I need that much money, I shouldn’t be sitting here at home right now. I should be in the office, working! So how to have 1 million like that? Well, well, we believe that if God provides us with many children, He will provide for them everything that He sees fit for them. My job is to nurture them to live according to God’s will and to please Him in every way. I am sure God will reward them handsomely.

Finally my Japanese fabrics arrived yesterday. So relieved!
Quite scary you know buying thing online from overseas. If they get lost during transaction, there goes my USD. After this, I shall hold my intention to buy vintage t shirts for a while.
Unfortunately, I did not check the measurement properly when I purchase the fabrics. All of them are way too small for a reversible bag. Well, they are perfect for wristlet (but I don’t know how to sew one yet), pencil case (i sewn one yesterday), small pleated handbags and wallets. Planning to sew at least one of each with the fabrics that I got. If got extra fabric, then only I’ll put them up for sale.

I estimated that I would need 1 million if all my children wants to further their studies oversea like UK, US or Australia! I think by the time they reach the college age, I don’t think 1 million would be sufficient. My ex-boss estimated 2 million for each of her children’s education! She even bought an apartment for them to stay! Others rent a place, she bought an apartment.
Anyway, how can I get 1 million? If I strike lottery maybe can but I don’t gamble.
I wonder whether if I continue my gold bullion investment, I can get that much in 10-20 years time. If not my children has to be contented by local degree like their mommy and daddy. Unless they are very smart and can get scholarship to study oversea.

This is my latest sewing project; a Pleated Handbag.
And this is not for sale (yet!).
So far, this is the toughest handbag to sew. The tutorial was not that helpful. I have to figure it out and did some trial and error. Sewn and dismantled the bag a few times! It took me more than a week to get it done. The pleated handbag supposed to have 2 straps but I changed the design to using one strap only before I gave up completing it!
Since I do not know how to sew zipper, I use magnetic snap button for this bag.
I am quite satisfied with the end result though.
No more new bags coming until I get my imported fabric.

This month is going to be a busy month. We have the Hari Raya then we have the wedding dinner or luncheon. The Chinese likes to get married of the 8th month of their lunar year. 8 means Luck to them. Thank God I do not have many close friends in Melaka, if not surely I will have a few save the date cards this month. My dad has 2-3 wedding dinners to attend this month!

As you know, my family is growing and soon a sedan car is no longer sufficient to fit all of us. Hubby is contemplating to buy it now by taking a loan but I am not in favor to go into dept again since our children are still small and a sedan can still fit all of us. Even though we can get cheap auto insurance online, the thought of having to start paying loan again every month scares me. Starting this month, we try to set aside an amount to save for our soon to be MPV.
We are giving ourselves 2 years to save. We hope and pray that God will continue to bless our business and we would be able to buy a used MPV with cash in 2 years time.

I have always wanted to study all the way; meaning until I get Permanent Head Damage! PhD lar.
Unfortunately circumstances in life does not permit me to go that far. If only I can turn back time and not date someone who is less educated than me. They simply can’t understand why we need to study so much. I have always wanted to do research degrees and then become a lecturer. Well, since I don’t have the opportunity anymore, I hope one of my children will fulfill my dream. If that is what they wanted too. Can’t force your children to study all the way if they do not have the interest and passion.
