Matthew 7:7

Hubby told me this story while we were having breakfast this morning.

“A young man in his 20’s went to work one day. He has to take the LRT and as usual the train was packed. As he entered the train he saw a beautiful, sexy, young woman with round voluptuous breast. He couldn’t get his eyes from her especially her boobs. As more people get into the train, the young man had to move until he is next to the young woman. He was excited of being able to stand near the young woman and being able to steal glances at her cleavage.

Suddenly, the train made a sudden brake and the young man’s arm accidentally brushes against the young woman’s boob. Before he could even apologise, the beautiful sexy, young, woman said to him sternly; Matthew 7:7! He was puzzled coz he knew nothing about the bible verse. Upon reaching his office, he quickly Google search on Matthew 7:7.”

Time to Repair Toyota Corolla Again

There are pros and cons in owning an old cars. The pros are, I do not have to pay for installment every month and the road tax and insurance are cheap too. If there is a dent or scratches on my cars, my heart don’t feel the pain. No heartache also driving when on an old, muddy kampung roads.

The cons; from time to time, it has to enter the workshop for maintenance repair like changing the water pump, flushing the radiator, changing radiator, air-cond leakage etc. One time repair, it will at least cost about 300 bucks but then it is way better than forking out 300 bucks and more every month paying for a new car. :P Thank God I am an owner to a Toyota Corolla in which its spare parts are easily obtainable.

Another con is my old cars can’t bring us far from our hometown. The furthers they can go is to PD. Due to that we have been to PD for holiday a few times and will be going there again during the school holidays. ;) Ya…just to enjoy the beach, the swimming pool, the hotel room and to spend time as a family.

Oh ya! Nowadays it is so easy to get repair cost estimation online especially if you live in US. For instance Chicago auto repair which can be accessed from Repairpal.com.

Sewing Mood Swing

Since I started sewing my first cloth pencil case with zipper, I have sewn quite a number of them; mostly for my children. Now each of them have 2 cloth pencil case; one for their colour pencils and another for their other stationary.

Last week a friend recommend that I try sewing this fabric shopping bag. I tried without the lining but failed. The bottom part did not turn out as it is supposed to be. So now the shopping bag is being used by my 2nd girl to keep her oil pastels which she brings to her art class every week. ;)

My next sewing project is to sew a soft toy; this cute little Pink Platypus. But then, dunno what happened to me, each time I take a look at the printout, I put in back down on the table and do something else. No mood to sew anymore lar!

Must Renew Road Tax and Insurance

Not only to renew road tax and insurance but must renew them on time or a few days before they expire. Last year, I got summoned because I forgot to renew it even though it was a day late. Can’t blame me coz I was hospitalised a few days before the road tax and insurance expired. I was more worried about my condition than to remember about my car. This year must renew on time whether through an agent or carinsurancelist.com. No extra money to spare to pay summon. :P

Gloomy Saturday

Of all the days, why must it rained today? I have school shoes, school uniforms and tonnes of clothes that needs drying. I need to go out too to send my children for ballet trial class. Dear God, please let it be a hot day tomorrow and if you need to send rain, let it be in the evening or at night. Amen. ;)

BBQ Pit Made of Drum

I still have the BBQ pit that is made of drum from my ex-company. I borrowed it last year before the CNY but didn’t have the time to return it. The company’s Bangladesh worker; Osman told me to keep it coz if the boss wants, they can always make some more. It would be good if they have the stainless steel drums then the BBQ pit will surely last longer coz it won’t get rusted. Maybe I’ll borrow it again and claim mine after a year.

Both Cars Broke Down

A week ago, we spent RM230 to change my car’s disburator so we don’t have to start the car everyday. It is because, I seldom use my car anymore due to the heavy steering; my tummy cannot take the pressure anymore. But after 2 days of not starting the car, on the 3rd day, the car cannot be started. :( So we just left the car unfixed coz I still have hubby’s car which I am driving everyday now. So angry you know; after paying so much, the problem is not fixed and my car gets worst!

Today, hubby’s car decided to “buat hal” and refused to start. So I am stranded at home again. Thank God my youngest sister is still in confinement and I borrowed her car for today and tomorrow. Hopefully the mechanic will keep his word and come tomorrow morning.

*sigh* when oh when will we have enough money to buy a better car.

Slow Mode

I am so not in the mood to blog serious stuff today. Firstly, it is raining and that slows down everything. We (hubby and I) normally go on slow mode when it is raining or cloudy day. We just wanna stay at home and do nothing; just being lazy. Our mind just cannot work!

I wanted to blog about Fenugreek (Halba) but lazy to go inside my room to get my camera to upload the photos.

Later today, we will be baking Nyonya Pineapple Tarts. They are for my SIL who is going to celebrate Deepavali at her brother’s house in JB this weekend.

Tomorrow, it will be another baking session. I’ll be baking Mango Cake for my SIL.

mango cake

Mangos from my dad’s. He has a few Mango trees. I got the recipe from here after reading the review from here. My first try was last Saturday and everyone who tried the Mango Cake likes it. :D Even though I mix the batter wrongly! I go sieve the brown sugar with the flour! So use to doing this when baking muffins. :P I was speechless when my SIL requested me to bake for her; she wants to buy from me wor!*wink, wink* :D

After 2 weeks of resting, life is gonna get busy again. No more slow mode after this. :P

Car Petrol Leaks

This happened 2 Saturdays ago.

The moment the maid open the back door, she smells petrol and the floor where I parked my car is covered with petrol. “Ma’am, kereta Ma’am bocor, minyak keluar banyak.” I quickly went to take a look and I saw petrol dripping like pipe water from the bottom of my car. “How come can leak arh? I did not hit anything last night.” I thought to myself. Then “Dear, dear, wake up, my car petrol leaks.” “What can I do? Aiyo only 7am you wake me up already. Go take something to collect the petrol lar.” he replied half awake. hehehe. Ok lor, what else can he do right since the mechanic shop only opens at 10am.

blood

Anyway, he did wake up a short while after I disturbed his sleep. Hahaha…once awake, he cannot go back to sleep. To find out which part is leaking, we used my digital camera and snap the picture; no need to squeeze himself under the car to take a peep. ;)

petrol

He said it must be the dog because the dog likes to sleep under the car. Maybe the dog hit the piping a few times when trying to go in and out until it got loosen.

Around 10am, hubby went to fetch the mechanic to our home and get it fixed. I think more than RM20 of petrol was wasted that morning. :(

Stinky Clothes

Due to the farming, we have to bear the chicken dung smell and house flies for almost 2 weeks. I didn’t realised that our clothes stings with chicken dung smell until my niece commented that Belle smells “busuk”. I went home and sniff ALL our clothes and rewashed them. The maid knew about it and did not say a word! Then for that 2 weeks, I hang my laundry at my parent’s house.

Morning, load the washed laundry in my car before sending my girls to school. Send my girls to school then to my parent’s, quickly hang laundry and head back home again to attend to my boys. Afternoon, go there for lunch and hang around until 2pm till the clothes dried then bring the laundry back home to fold.

That has been my routine for the past two weeks. Thank God, the bunds are all covered now and no more chicken dung smell in the air.
