I still have the BBQ pit that is made of drum from my ex-company. I borrowed it last year before the CNY but didn’t have the time to return it. The company’s Bangladesh worker; Osman told me to keep it coz if the boss wants, they can always make some more. It would be good if they have the stainless steel drums then the BBQ pit will surely last longer coz it won’t get rusted. Maybe I’ll borrow it again and claim mine after a year. ![]()
A week ago, we spent RM230 to change my car’s disburator so we don’t have to start the car everyday. It is because, I seldom use my car anymore due to the heavy steering; my tummy cannot take the pressure anymore. But after 2 days of not starting the car, on the 3rd day, the car cannot be started.
So we just left the car unfixed coz I still have hubby’s car which I am driving everyday now. So angry you know; after paying so much, the problem is not fixed and my car gets worst!
Today, hubby’s car decided to “buat hal” and refused to start. So I am stranded at home again. Thank God my youngest sister is still in confinement and I borrowed her car for today and tomorrow. Hopefully the mechanic will keep his word and come tomorrow morning.
*sigh* when oh when will we have enough money to buy a better car.
I am so not in the mood to blog serious stuff today. Firstly, it is raining and that slows down everything. We (hubby and I) normally go on slow mode when it is raining or cloudy day. We just wanna stay at home and do nothing; just being lazy. Our mind just cannot work!
I wanted to blog about Fenugreek (Halba) but lazy to go inside my room to get my camera to upload the photos.
Later today, we will be baking Nyonya Pineapple Tarts. They are for my SIL who is going to celebrate Deepavali at her brother’s house in JB this weekend.
Tomorrow, it will be another baking session. I’ll be baking Mango Cake for my SIL.

Mangos from my dad’s. He has a few Mango trees. I got the recipe from here after reading the review from here. My first try was last Saturday and everyone who tried the Mango Cake likes it.
Even though I mix the batter wrongly! I go sieve the brown sugar with the flour! So use to doing this when baking muffins.
I was speechless when my SIL requested me to bake for her; she wants to buy from me wor!*wink, wink*
After 2 weeks of resting, life is gonna get busy again. No more slow mode after this.
This happened 2 Saturdays ago.
The moment the maid open the back door, she smells petrol and the floor where I parked my car is covered with petrol. “Ma’am, kereta Ma’am bocor, minyak keluar banyak.” I quickly went to take a look and I saw petrol dripping like pipe water from the bottom of my car. “How come can leak arh? I did not hit anything last night.” I thought to myself. Then “Dear, dear, wake up, my car petrol leaks.” “What can I do? Aiyo only 7am you wake me up already. Go take something to collect the petrol lar.” he replied half awake. hehehe. Ok lor, what else can he do right since the mechanic shop only opens at 10am.

Anyway, he did wake up a short while after I disturbed his sleep. Hahaha…once awake, he cannot go back to sleep. To find out which part is leaking, we used my digital camera and snap the picture; no need to squeeze himself under the car to take a peep.

He said it must be the dog because the dog likes to sleep under the car. Maybe the dog hit the piping a few times when trying to go in and out until it got loosen.
Around 10am, hubby went to fetch the mechanic to our home and get it fixed. I think more than RM20 of petrol was wasted that morning. ![]()
Due to the farming, we have to bear the chicken dung smell and house flies for almost 2 weeks. I didn’t realised that our clothes stings with chicken dung smell until my niece commented that Belle smells “busuk”. I went home and sniff ALL our clothes and rewashed them. The maid knew about it and did not say a word! Then for that 2 weeks, I hang my laundry at my parent’s house.
Morning, load the washed laundry in my car before sending my girls to school. Send my girls to school then to my parent’s, quickly hang laundry and head back home again to attend to my boys. Afternoon, go there for lunch and hang around until 2pm till the clothes dried then bring the laundry back home to fold.
That has been my routine for the past two weeks. Thank God, the bunds are all covered now and no more chicken dung smell in the air.
I have been driving around Malacca for about 2 months with an expired driving license!
We were at the TM Point yesterday to cancel my apartment’s telephone line and they required my IC. Since my driving license is just behind my IC, I took a peep at the expiry date. If not because it, I will still be driving without valid driving license!
It expired on the 26 of March and I just renewed it yesterday.
I renewed for another 5 years.
Now I can let it sit in my purse, untouch and forget about it. Thank God no Traffic Police wants to stop an auntie driving an old junk.
Joey, our crippled pet dog has 7 stepbrothers and stepsisters now; same father different mother. We did not rear his parents but his stepmother gave birth at the shelter on our farm. There are supposed to be 8 puppies but one fell into the well nearby the shelter.
As of today, 4 puppies came to hang around at our house compound and that made my children so excited. The moment they get down from the car after coming home from school, they will be outdoor playing with the puppies till evening!
They kept asking me to feed the puppies with their milk but I refused. The puppies are well fed by their mother. They are so cute but we are not going to rear them. Don’t think MIL would want them too.

Here are 4 puppies.

One here.

One more here.

And one more here with his KorKor Joey.
My dad pet puppy almost died of eating poison. We have a paddy field which is rented to a Malay man who planted corn on that field and this puppy went there and we believed he must have eaten the rat poison. In order to save money, my dad refused to send the puppy to the vet. He fed the puppy with coconut water, paracetamol, my son’s milk and a certain type of leaf. My sister even bought pet supplements for the puppy. After 2 weeks, the puppy is finally healed. I think my dad can be a vet already. ![]()
Baby head is way down under. My tummy dropped. Anytime. Hmmm…how many times I said “anytime” already arh???
My weight, not a surprise anymore, dropped another 400g even though I have been eating more than last week. I am at 58.5kg today.
Today my blood pressure is higher than before, 110/70. Throughout this pregnancy, it has been lower than that. I know the reason; I took a nap before I go for check-up today so I have enough rest. hehe.
Hope this will be the last time I go to the government clinic for check-up. ![]()
Let me share something about one of our student apartments here. I blog about it in my other blog.
Our tenants left after only 4 months of staying there. They breached the tenancy agreement of one year. Not only they did not pay for this month’s rental, they left us with 3 months of utility bills that comes up to more than RM1k. Thank God the Streamyx line can be transferred to my home because they took the 1 year package; use or no use still have to pay. So I cancelled my home Streamyx and transferred theirs to mine.
A few days after they left, hubby went to clean the apartment and just realized that 2 of our double decker bed frame are gone! The Queen Size bed frame is also broken!
Yesterday, when we went to thoroughly clean the apartment, I discovered that a set of curtain is gone from one of the rooms. A blogger friend of mine and her friends are staying there today. After they left, I am going to bring home all my curtains.
Arabs student should be rich right? You know what? They even took away the AAA batteries from the air-cond remote control! Besides that the air-cond is not working too and the gas stove is not working as well. Now I am wondering whether the washing machine is working; forgotten to try it out yesterday.
One of the rooms, they painted it red and did not repaint it back to white as agreed. That is expected lar.
The amount of deposit is not enough to cover for all of the above.
Lesson learnt:
1. No more allowing them to repaint any rooms.
2. If they want internet, get them to apply for the prepaid ones.
3. No more providing curtains for them.
4. WYSIWYG – What you see is what you get. Not going to replace the stolen bed frames.
5. Inform the apartment management to cut the water supply if the tenant did not pay after a month.
6. Request TNB to do the same too. If they can do it in my apartment, why not in this apartment?
7. Increase deposit for utility bills.
